@Spintik
The widnows like downstairs are boarded up. Goblins like it darker you figure.

You find 2 vials, a longsword, a staff, and a bow.

Arcana check DC 15 to identify any special properties of the items.

Joun, ruling request: Does this count as a milestone (second encounter) so I can recharge my action point?

Also, I'll look at the items if Stavis can't recognize them with his check. edit:nvm, it was dc 15 so he got it.

@Trinal if you have used your action point on the first floor it should be back. If you used it this floor, you should get it back after next floor.

Stavis Identifies the gear as follows (sorry for lack of flavor)

2 healing potions

Flaming longsword +1 Pg 234 PHB Crit add 1d6, can change damage from physical to fire at will, Power: Daily when you hit deal extra 1d6 fire damage and apply 5 ongoing fire damage (save ends)

Vicious Longbow +1 Pg 236 PHB (add 1d12 to crits)

Staff of the War Mage Pg 242 PHB Add 1d8 to crits, Power: Daily: Free action, use power to increase size of burst or blast attacks by 1.

Stavis will hand the staff to Trinal, and the bow to Spintik. Followed by looking at Ham'mon and Gobo to see if either has interest in the sword.

Looking at the map, I'm not seeing a clear way up, unless the stairs are stacked. Joun, can you clarify?

Also, I'd like to make a knowldege (Legend Lore) check to see if I know whether any parts of fire beetles are valuable. Do wizards need fire beetle scrotums for their work or anything?

d20+6=14+6=20

Fire beetle scrotum is useful for soup. The stairs on every level only go up.

LPDnD: The Goblins, The Bad, and the Ugly

Post by Reese » Wed Mar 05, 2014 3:59 am

Gobo grips his greatsword "I am not yet ready to be without my family's heritage, I believe that sword would be best if wielded by Mr. Ham'mon."

Gobo will bow his head as if in prayer and mumble softly. When his head come back he has two frozen lines near his eyes and he looks a bit distant.

"We should be swift about continuing, the walls are not likely to hinder our foes hearing the clashes below them for long. Best we continue to surprise them than be caught at a disadvantage."

Gobo, a bit unsure of who is leading, looks to Trinal as a guide for next maneuvers.

OK, so Trinal won't bother with coming back to harvest components.

Quietly he turns to the others and says "I think the way we did it before worked rather well. Ham'mon, would you care to do the honors? I'll follow."

I'll follow Ham up and gesture the others to come up behind.

Stealth (climbing the stairs behind Ham)

d20+3=17+3=22 (edit: Added +2 to account for the ritual effect)

[ooc: I'm moving my icon to the spot on the stairs where I expect to be, but with the understanding that Ham'mon is actually going up ahead of me]
