Buy it. You will thank me. You have to pick a side early on, when you do it starts a series of awesome events.

45 bucks on all systems at Amazon. Easily worth double that with the amount of content. I am 47 hours in, and I am not even at the middle point.

Well,
Amazon must not have been updated when I bought mine, because now it's considered an "open order" and I am not due to get this until at least 12/08.
Hopefully they don't give me some B.S. about a price change because it wasn't in stock.

That is what I was concerned when I saw it was fully collected on the deal.

Soooo,
This game is fun. I'm still getting it down though. I rolled a 2-hand warrior, which is way out of my usual pattern of creating ranged characters. The combat is a little weird.... the whole multi-toon combat thing throws me off. Being a combination of Mass Effect and Neverwinter combat though, it allows for some interesting planning. I feel that they should have just mapped the party "quick" commands to the 4-way pad though (instead of the L1 radial), unless that is used for something else later that I don't have access to just yet.
Just about cleaned up the Hinterlands entirely yesterday. There is no doubt, these maps are BIG... one "region" is about 1/3 the size of the entire Elder Scrolls world Map. Not bad for this type of game, especially with the knowledge that there are more places I haven't been to yet.
I find the UI however seems to have been treated like an afterthought. The inventory and skill tree screens are clunky at best. I think (provided my 4-way opnion were viable) that they could have made the Map, inventory and skill trees available from the Radial Menu instead of having to go into the options screen.
The effects are beautiful...
and lastly.... the Dragon really, really hurts.....

Do we know if there is any disadvantage to being being different level, I just hit level 4 last night so I will be very under level if it does.

and.. are we all slashy classes?
and... if I start a new game to create a different toon, is it going to overwrite my current one?

Multiplayer is a different character. Your single player guy is not in the game. You can only choose a few at the start, and unlock other classes. Think of it as a different game.

Multiple saves are your friend. Had to redo the mission for the empress, because while I had full favor with the court, they really didn't like the ending I picked. You have to do the last part a certain way. The bad part is when I reloaded to get the trophy I lost the auto save of my version.

I started Nightmare mode last night. Going to skip as much as I can and just do main story for the last four trophies.

I mentioned in the PAX South but I do so here as well, but we need to get together and do the multiplayer.

If we can get the group together I'll borrow my copy back from my sister, I see her at least one a week and she's about 40 minutes away so I can get it just not at a drop off a hat just a warning of my potential limited availability at times.

I know Marrkin is playing, and Cuspar had it but hasn't played yet. I think Phoenix has it, but just started playing the first one and is going in order.

Yep, still working through my "2nd" first playthrough since replacing the console. Once beaten I plan on getting Platinum for this game..... prob do the same and just focus more on the stories, skip all the side b.s.
Down to try MP anytime... if it's anything like ME3 MP was, it should be interesting...
