This weeks update - more on adv class mechanics

Blog here

It also reveals some new info about the smuggler and what the different trees are going to be for that class.

The implications of how this tree structure is going to work appear to be pretty big too, because it seems to lead to not just 1 level of specialization in a class, but 2 levels.

Using the smuggler info as an example, you take Scoundrel as your AC - well you still have a choice within Scoundrel to focus your points in the Scrapper tree, which is your stealth damage tree, or the Sawbones tree, which is the healing tree.

The way I see this possibly playing out for other classes is take the Trooper for example, if you choose the Commando tree then you'll be ranged DPS, but inside of there you will have a personal DPS tree and a group support tree so you can either be the ultimate DPS character, or you could be more of a squad leader type who does good DPS, but also provides group buffage as well.

It's going to be VERY interesting to see what the other classes are going to get for trees the closer we get to launch.
They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

The Plush Family:
DPS - Furiel: Commando, T'ony: Slinger, Kessilee: VG, Ziraava: Sent
Tank - Montae: Shadow, Gaen: Guardian
Heals - Kam'ryn: Sage, Sabran: Soundrel

That is pretty interesting. Especially since each advanced class shares a skill set/tree with the other. The stealth healer would be awesome if healing doesn't break stealth...especially in PVP.
