Because it made me laugh to think of his Canadiacave.

With the end of the NHL season, Canadians allowed themselves a night of celebration before migrating to their caves this morning to begin a long hibernation. But be warned — just because they're inactive for a few months doesn't mean you can disturb them without consequence. Canadians have been known to react violently when woken from a hibernation slumber. They can rise quickly to defend themselves if they think an attack is imminent — a necessary skill, since they can't burrow underground for protection.

I was actually cheering for LA with all their ex-Oilers and go happily into my Canadiacave!

I don't really follow hockey, but it was hard not to get caught up in the Cup hoopla here with an 8-seed beating the 1, 2, and 3 seeds on their way to the city's first Cup ever.

Though some of the narrative was off, even for me. The whole, "This team which has never done this before is somehow finding a way" schtick was lame considering 3/4 of the team is players that have won the Cup elsewhere. Even I know that.

Yes, that lowly 8th seed that was competing for their division title headed into the last week of the season...they certainly were downtrodden and stuff.

The Kings being an 8 seed is kinda like when that 12-4 football team makes the playoffs as a wild card. Yeah sure, when they go to play that 8-8 division winned technically they should be the underdog, but nobody is really surprised when they win either.
They say when you go on a quest for vengence to dig two graves. They underestimate me.

They still knocked off 1, 2, and 3 and lost only a single road game (let us not discuss the fact that they seemed to believe that all series were best of 5 and forgot to show up for game 4's). Anyway, I'm happy for all the Kings fans out here. They've waited a long time for this and their team is finally relevant in LA - unlike the Clippers.
