Is that problem monitor, graphics card or other?

i'm 99% sure it's the graphics card. runs fine in safe mode. rolled it back a month or so to make sure it wasnt a driver... still crap.

So much for catching up some this evening, I was all set to play after work with no kids at the house for the night but when i log in the servers are down for the next 4 hours! I kill you!!

Does your motherboard have built in graphics? You could use that until you get a new card.

Try running another game, or anything that requires 3D acceleration (like 3DMark).

If it does the same thing in other games, it's the card that's fried (likely overheated). If it runs the other games, it's something to do with ToR...

yeah, it's the card.. the funny screen comes up after the Windows splash screen. i borrowed a card from Gartorn to double check
