Periodically, my browser seems to think I've clicked somewhere off the screen - ie. all of a sudden, I can't scroll with the mouse wheel until I click somewhere on the window again.

Running a virus scan right now.

Suggestions?

Friend of mine who now works for Google insisted on ONLY using Pine for email all the way up to 2002.

I actually use paper, you don't even need a navigator... but you can only load the pages once

truthfully, I have never heard of your issue. I have a new one with Google Chrome wherein the back button does not work due to a chache issue they created in Beta 14. But not clicking right? No idea.

Have you checked About Chrome to make sure you have the most updated version?

Maybe its a Canadian thing?
