Saga Vol 1

Post by Blackferne » Thu Mar 28, 2013 4:40 pm

Yesterday at the comic book store I picked up some stuff for my daughter, Arrow (supplement to the CW series not to be confused with Green Arrow as part of the new 52) and Saga Vol 1 published by Image Comics.

http://www.amazon.com/Saga-Vol-Brian-K- ... 589&sr=1-1

First off this is a book that has adult themes and some darkness to it. There is sex and violence, so inappropriate for kids. That out of the way I have to say I really enjoyed it. It has some sci-fi, some magic, a little supernatural, and some humor. The art os gorgeous and the story reminds me of the Star Wars universe some. I would highly recommend it.

I used to play Senic the Hodgehog on a Saga.

The Arrow comic you can get digitally and every once in a while they compile it into a physical book. Sometimes it covers Ollie doing stuff I have no idea how it connects to the show (he and Diggle go to Russia to stop sex traffickers), other times it shows background on people like China White and the Lance kids. Overall it is okay, but it is a nice bit of extra.

Ok, you got me, I would totally "lance" both their "kids".
Repeatedly.
And happily.

I'm good with that, then I don't have to fight with him over Laurel.

This gentleman prefers brunettes.

So far I count 3 Doctor Who alum, 1 farscape, 3 BSG and I'm sure I've not even done a full nerd culture sweep.

I also like that Oliver Queen's home (Hatley Castle) is the same mansion used for Lex Luthor in Smallville, and the X-Men in their movies.

I guess Vancouver has 1 castle or it is just a McMegaMansion.
