In which Blackferne discusses potential Justice League film

Apparently Christopher Nolan has been given oversight on a Justice League movie. And there is a rumor Christian Bale is coming back as Batman.

Now neither of these things strikes me as a bad thing. However when we look at the potential lineup for a Justice League movie you have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, And Green Lantern. I don't think they'll clutter the initial lineup with Aquaman, Cyborg, or Martian Manhunter because 1)Aquaman has a PR problem that needs to be fixed 2)Cyborg is not well known outside of the comics, though his back story could be a 5 minute flashback 3)Martian Manhunter is awesome, but way too complicated to get into in an already crowded movie (down the road, totally should get him in).
My main concern with the Bale as Batman is how the Justice League would tie in. Is it the same world that the Dark Knight Trilogy took place? If so, where the hell was Superman (or any of the others) when Bane held Gotham hostage with a nuke?
My hope is Bale is Batman, but it is clear that this is not linked via canon to TDK trilogy.

If aqua an isn't in it,I'm not seeing it. 3/4 of the surface of the earth is covered with water. I can only stand watching the best boat for so long.

Either they set up that Superman swoops in to save Batman at the end, or that Batman exisited before Superman came along. I would rather have a World's Finest movie, with Superman and Batman teamed up before a Justice League movie. So, either Bruce is fishing somewhere, and Superman flies down and says "I am forming a team, come with me.", or they pretend it is Earth 2, and Bale can still be Batman, just not the Batman he was when in three films he was only Batman a year before retiring for 8, coming back, the whole back thing, then coming back again and faking his death. This way, he can still have the house, and the money, and not JGL as a 5 foot 2 Nightwing/Robin/Batman hybrid, with no money to support his war on crime.

If they say that Bane's hostage situation happened before Superman they start creating a significant age gap between Bruce and Clark. And that would still leave the issue of where were the rest of them at this point.
The best choice is Earth 2.

Also on a superhero related note...
Gabby has been asking me lately if superheroes are real, and I've been telling her no.
Then she asked me if Santa was real, and I said yes.
Then she asked me how Santa could be real if superheroes were not, and I said "What did you do in school today?"
Clever, my girl is.

And back on Aquaman for a moment. Furiel's post about the Kansas villain is part of his PR problem. He can go a lot of places, half man, half Atlantian. His issue becomes if he is dried out obviously.
They kind of acknowledge that and make a joke about it:
The compelling part of Aquaman now is his not quite fitting in in either world, but being extremely powerful in both. His wife Mera kicks ass though.
