Joun and I were talkin a bit about telescopes in game tonight. Anyone else enjoy looking at old light?

Joun, here's the Dob I was talking about, it's $599 now but they have it on sale from time to time. Free shipping now doesn't suck I guess.

That is what we have since if my 4 year old wrecks it I won't be upset. But getting to an 8" Dob like that would definitely be on the path in a few years.

Ooh, that's awesome, might have to get one of those for our little bug once she's older. The Dob is great, but moving it is a hassle and it's far from kid friendly. Also requires a good-sized vehicle, it takes up the back seat of your average small sedan just about perfectly, and won't fit in most trunks. Minivan swallows it fine tho.
